Len Dyer R.I.P.
May 13, 2009 – 3:02 pmVery sadly I have to report that Len lost his fight with the Big C on Tuesday, 12 th May. I know he was hoping desperately to hang on for the ‘49 ers re-union, but it was not to be.
Len’s funeral was held at Haycombe Crematorium, Bath, at 1 pm on Thursday 21st May. Many Sulians were present along with his family and many, many friends.
We all extend our sincerest condolences to Beryl and their family.

I didn’t know Len was ill,but remember him as a good rugby player at school and friendly to all. I’m sure he will be greatly missed by we old Old Su’s.

This news makes me feel so sad. I didn’t know Len all that well, but he had a fantastic sense of humour and was a lovely man.
My best wishes,
John Grebbell

I was, naturally, very saddened by the news of Len Dyer’s passing, although I knew he was very ill, of course.
May I apologise (formally) for not attending the funeral. Kathryn and I left for a 10-day holiday in Scotland on 15th May and did not return until 25th. I hope that it went off as well as these occasions can.
